EAP Clinician – Rockford

Perspectives currently has an opening for a part-time employee assistance counselor in our Rockford, IL office. The EAP counselor provides services to employees of our contracted organizations and their family members, including expert assessment, referrals to providers or community resources when appropriate, short-term problem resolution when appropriate, and monitoring/follow-up. This position reports to the Director of Clinical EAP Services and is a 12 hour (two six-hour days) per week position, which should include evening hours at least one day per week. Perspectives’ Rockford office is located near Rockford Memorial Hospital. This is a salaried position and office space is provided.

Position requires a Masters’ Degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Family Therapy. Licensure or license eligibility (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) and EAP experience required. Familiarity with substance abuse issues and CD assessment required, CADC (or equivalent) or CEAP preferred. Detail orientation and ability to organize follow-up and monitoring schedules with clients is essential, since the EAP Clinician is expected to report on attendance and compliance (with appropriate releases) to employers in cases of job performance referrals.
