About Us
Our business is to keep your employees engaged in your business. SM Perspectives Ltd is an award-winning workplace resources company with nearly 30 years experience delivering Employee Assistance Programs (EAP's), Managed Behavioral Healthcare, Work/Life Services, Organizational/Management Consultation and Wellness Services. We provide services to more than 300 companies worldwide. In addition to our highly qualified staff, we have an extensive affiliate and provider network of best-in-class counseling professionals dedicated to delivering Perspectives’ high-touch services onsite, at locations around the world. At Perspectives, we believe in taking an individualized approach with each customer organization and creating tailored solutions that have practical applications in their workplace. We’re different from other EAP providers because we’re an independent firm, focused on EAP and work/life as our primary business, and all of our resources are dedicated to the delivery of innovative high-touch services. BERNARD S. DYME Since co-founding Perspectives in 1981, Bernie Dyme has helped develop an organization that is committed to delivering the highest quality workplace resource programs possible. He has used his clinical and systems training at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration to provide consulting services to hundreds of organizations and help them develop a balanced approach between cost savings and safe, healthy, productive workplaces. He is also an active member of more than a dozen professional and community organizations where he continues to use his passion to assist them live productive personally and professionally. Organizations include the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), the Society of Human Resource Professionals (SHRM) and the Executives Club of Chicago. He also serves on the Board of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. He is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois with a BS from the University of Illinois and a Masters degree from the University of Chicago.
TERRY CAHILL Terry Cahill oversees new business development and behavioral healthcare reporting at Perspectives. He has 30 years experience in the behavioral healthcare market and has been in the employee assistance programs (EAP) and work/life field for more than 20 years. During his career, he has delivered thousands of supervisory trainings, seminars, orientations and critical incident stress debriefings (CISDs), and has helped organizations develop sexual harassment, workplace violence, substance abuse and fitness-for-duty policies. He lectures frequently for both university and professional forums and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), the National Behavioral Consortium and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce’s Drug Free Workplace Program. Terry is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) as well as a certified senior alcohol and drug counselor (CSADC). He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois.
